I’m a son of a carpenter, so building started early for me. I helped my dad frame decks and mend fences around our family home, then tagged along on jobs for family and friends.

In my early teens, my dad set my brother and me loose with a lawnmower and a trimmer, going door to door for weekly lawn care through the summer and snow shovelling through the winter. He was clear about what mattered: show up, do good work, and treat people with honesty and respect.

I carried that with me through my Red Seal carpentry certification and years working construction for someone else, until 2003, when I decided to build something of my own. Terrafirma Industries started that year, and I haven’t looked back.
